A Whole New World - Welcome to Hinoto-Ri!

Arrival: Welcome to Hinoto-Ri! Let's start off by establishing something: no, that wasn't just a dream. You've been chosen by the god Philemon to defend this city! The general consensus is that we Visitors are defending the city from periodic giant monster attacks, with other complications arising as well. There is a text document detailing all events of this nature stored safely on the Visitor Communication Network, which you should be able to access with your assigned COMP!

Now, you may think you might not have the power to do anything about giant monster attacks, but that's not true - you've been gifted with an exciting power called Persona! A Persona is a reflection of your heart's true nature, and it lets you fire mind lasers.

Persona: Now that you know about this exciting new power, you want to try it out, right? Okay then! Here's where things get complicated. First of all, even though you've been granted this power, it's still latent and needs to be awakened. Now, there are a couple of different ways to awaken it - most Visitors use the standby of placing themselves in mortal peril.

THIS IS A BAD IDEA.

What most Visitors in the past didn't know was that you can just head down to City Hall and request an Evoker, which is a machine that will automatically awaken your Persona! It's extremely simple to operate and does not require you to be in any danger whatsoever! THIS IS WHAT YOU SHOULD DO.

The Velvet Room: The Velvet Room is a mysterious space where you can acquire a secondary Persona! The Persona you receive when you arrive is known as your Soul Persona and doesn't change, so the secondary Velvet Persona gives you a much-needed degree of flexibility! In addition, the two attendants, Caroline and her brother William, will often ask Visitors to do things for them, with the rewards being Persona not publically available or equipment for fighting demons.

The 13th Hour: An extra hour in which wandering demons appear! As a registered Visitor, you are allowed to break curfew in order to patrol the streets during this hour. Your Persona is strengthened by use, so it's important to go on occasional patrols! Please note that thanks to new legislation, Visitors under the age of 10 are not allowed to patrol alone and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. This applies strictly to human Visitors - if you are a demon, ghost, robot, clone, or created in a lab experiment, you may go out during the 13th Hour unsupervised.

Shops: There are several stores run by Visitors - it might be simpler to shop there, as the management has first-hand experience with adapting to Hinoto-Ri. In the Virgo District, the Ichiban Market sells various household goods and is a good place to pick up necessities. In the Scorpio District, there is the Amagi Inn, a traditional Japanese style inn and hot springs offering traditional Japanese cuisine with vegetarian options.

School: Recent legislation that affects underage Visitors requires them to continue to attend school while they are here - the current high school options are Andromeda High, for more traditional education, or Phoenix Free School, which is more suited for Visitors who might not be familiar with public school systems. Important note: the principal's office at Phoenix Free is trapped. Do not attempt to enter it.

ADDENDUM: Recent events warrant this information: we Visitors are incredibly popular around here; please do not be surprised if you start seeing merchandise based on you or your Persona popping up after your first month is over.
